AFT CABIN The inclusion of an aft cabin in a barge design will again depend on budget, geographical cruising location or expected crew sizes. In warmer climes one may prefer an open deck aft of the wheelhouse. The aft, or guest, cabin can accommodate a double bed and a shower room with WC. As with the main sleeping cabin there is a double-door hatch for ventilation in hot weather or secondary means of escape.
